A brand new "Song Of the Week"!

Frank's Space Prank
Running in place - Caught up to find that you were floating in space - I've got to remind you that your cord is gonna come undone - Even if you're having fun - Strange little place - Went where the computer said - Stayed here too long - The light is on and blinking red - Captain says to get on board - If your cord breaks you're gonna soar - Away - So long - Floating away - Smile on your face - I saw through the visor - As you floated away hanging on the wires of the cord that had come undone - Drifted off into the sun - Away - So long - Floating away - Frank's space prank - A rocket flashing through the sky - Coming in safe - Glad to see he's alright but I wish he would've told someone - He'd gone and put a jet-pack on - Today

A brand new "Song Of the Week" ... this is for William V. Hogsed, we just knew him as "Bill" ...a very sweet man.

Here's the lyrics:
Bill Get's Up
'Ole Bill gets up - Then Bill gets down - His juice is fresh - His toast is brown - He brings the bats a telescope - He brings the bunnies a jump-rope - He brings a whistle for the birds - 'Cause they don't know the words - He teaches them to play - But he can't stay awake - So Bill gets up - And Bill gets down - His suit is pressed - His toast is brown - He brings the snake a pair of boots - For butterflies he brings parachutes - He brings the bears some books to read - It isn't what they need - The hour's getting late - They've got to hibernate - He brings his things to everyone - They don't need things - But things are fun - He brings the bugs some kites to fly - They don't know how or why - But Bill still helps them try - He's just that kind of guy - And Bill gets up - Then Bill gets down - His juice is fresh - His toast is brown

The mchatton.com Theme Song!

Yes, here it is folks, the mchatton.com theme song...
And... It finally works!
Push the Little Arrow to Start and Push the Little Square to Stop.
Thank you Andy and Jonathan for helping with this - I learned a lot.
It started as a wacky idea, turned into a couple of wacky sketches, and then a really rough pencil animation.
If you'd like to just hear the mp3 (a little better sound quality than the animation) then just...

My family has been asking me to do something acoustic - so here it is - a simple little tune - but I like it.

Here's the lyrics:
Bugga Bugga Joe
The sky is filled with pinholes - Flashlight is shining on - Black construction paper - Says the day is done - Bugga Bugga Joe is sittin' in his room - Lookin' at the paper moon - In the sky - Spendin' his life like a little star - Starin' at the lid on a jar - Wishin' he could fly - The night is filled with strange dreams - Wrappin' strings to keep him warm - Hangin' from the paper - His wings are born - Bugga Bugga Joe is dancin' to a tune - Flyin' around in his room - In the morning light - All it's gonna take is just a little twist - From the girl with the jar in her fist - And away he'll fly

This one is really different for me. It went through a lot of changes - from something completely wacky to the more straight version we have here.

Thank you Andy for getting the site moved over!

A few words about "Grass Stained Twilight" - You can now click on the icon over on the right to get it here. After much deliberation we chose the self-publishing route which has been great but limited our options. Originally there was going to be a 5 song cd included with the book. Now, it will be available separately as a full length cd - available here soon!

Here's the "Heart On My Sleeve (Same Old Suit)" song lyrics:
I was afraid this might happen - Not the suit I should've worn - If I had made the right selection - I could've pulled the sleeve over my heart - Instead I went and put on the coat - Even though I knew the arms really weren't very long - Inside I'd found - the note I'd wrote - Not to wear this again 'cause the pants had fit wrong - Tried to stay away from humiliation - Instead I stayed away from everyone - I was afraid this might happen - Not the suit I should've worn - If I had made the right selection - I could've pulled the sleeve over my heart - It would have meant having to do all those things that I said there was no time to get done - It would have meant having to dance in shoes I knew I loved but had never tried on - But without the slightest hesitation - I went and wore that same old suit for everyone - They point and say that I should've kept it on me - But the pockets in these pants are much too deep - I was afraid this might happen - Never thought they all might leave - Turns out I made the wrong selection - When I wore my heart on my sleeve
