3 I Think I’m A Bunny – The Book! and Video Updates

I’ve begun work on a brand new “I Think I’m A Bunny” BOOK! I’ll be updating the progress here.

Yes, I know, I said the video was going to debut last week – we ran into some small unexpected technical difficulties but it should be done soon. Thank you for all of your amazing emails. One of you even said that you’re singing “I Think I’m A Bunny” with your choir! We all want to see that. Please post it or send it to me and I’ll post it here!

Thanks to all of you we’re back at #1 on SiriusXM Kids Place Live for our 4th week! “I Think I’m A Bunny” also made Zooglobble’s Top 25 Songs of 2011! Galactic Champions of Joy made Time Out New York Kids list of the Top 10 Albums of 2011, About.com’s Top Albums of 2011, and was picked by the amazing Jeff Bogle as OWTK’s #1 Album of 2011! What an amazing year! Thank you everyone!

One more thing… I’ve got 4 brand new songs we’re finishing up to round out the holiday download album: “Todd McHatton / Christmas Songs“. I put out this download only album originally in 2009, added a new tune in 2010 and, well, now I’m trying to get these new ones done for 2011. I know it’s getting late though so don’t wait for me – go get it now and I’ll try to get these new ones all finished up and have as many of them as possible to you before Christmas!

First of all, I want to thank you for your awesomeness.
Second, I want to tell you that the brand new Todd McHatton record came out today, September 21st, 2011!

Just like my previous album Sundays at the Rocket Park, the new album has some more songs about some irksome animals:
There’s more hippos and birds, and also some bears and stuff.
I’ve also got songs about stars, a tree house, a super towel, and those kinds of things.
Once again, I’ve included a couple of mushy love songs for my wife because she’s awesome and I love her.

If you’re going.. “who is this guy and how do I know that he’s actually
awesome?” – well, my last record, Sundays at the Rocket Park, was picked
as one of the Top 10 Albums of 2010 by Time Out New York Kids!
So, at least one other person outside of my immediate family liked it.
It’s dense, graceful, layered, psychedelic pop for the whole family.

I am very proud of this new record and I hope you enjoy it.

0 The Brand New Album!

3 Sundays at the Rocket Park makes Time Out New York Kids List of Best kids’ albums of 2010!

To have Todd McHatton / Sundays at the Rocket Park included on Time Out New York Kids List of Best Kids Albums of 2010 with so many phenomenally great artists is absolutely overwhelming.

As those of you who’ve been visiting here over the last several years know, this has been a total, absolute blast – writing songs, drawing pictures and comics, publishing my first book – all completely and exclusively for the fun. joy, and entertainment it provides me and my family – and look what’s happened, we got an audience!

I don’t think I’ve ever done a mchatton.com update without a brand new tune attached to it but I just really really wanted to thank Jeff Bogle at OWTK and TimeOut New York Kids in a really big way… pure and simple. I absolutely love making music and it is so incredibly gratifying to know that so many more people are hearing it now. I had actually been struggling with the idea of having to incorporate anything “business like” into all of this fun – publicity, advertising, networking, sales, merchandising, etc. The idea of messing up all this fun with all that… well, “work” was not really part of the original dream.

Because of people like Jeff Bogle, Amberly Warnke over at Pied Piper Radio/Ages 3 and Up, Dave Loftin over at the Saturday Morning Cereal Bowl, and Bill Childs over at Spare the Rock Spoil the Child I’ve been given the opportunity to continue focusing on the joyful stuff and they’ve brought more of you here for me to share it with. Thank You SO MUCH!
Since this is a big brag and thanks I should also mention that 2 Songs from the album also made OWTK’s Favorite 50 Kindie Songs of 2010 and the artwork made the list as one of OWTK’s Top 15 Kindie Album Art/CD Covers of 2010!
